Our Security Guards
We employ security officers supported by an experienced management team committed to providing a quality service. We are a company whose management team has many years of extensive experience within the security sector, such as; building and construction sites, residential and commercial properties, industry and factory facilities, hospitals, hotel reception and car parks and garages. The aim of the patrols will be to support & compliment, but not replace the Metropolitan Police.



Patrolling System

A unique top of the range system, which allows the customer to monitor the guards movements at all times. It gives the customer peace of mind as to the guards whereabouts and that the assignment instructions have been fulfilled and maintained to the highest standard expected from Dragon Security Services (UK) Ltd. The patrolling system is compatible with any operating system and has the flexibility to be networked.

Our area supervisor patrols around all sites, at least once in the day or night. The essence is to make sure that guards are on duty and responsive.

Recruitment & Vetting

Our normal procedure is to advertise for staff in the press. Client requirements on personnel profiles will be incorporated into our advertisement not withstanding our legal obligation under the Equal Opportunities Act and other Discriminations legislation.

The application form is completed in detail and submitted to the General Manager Administration for scrutiny whom must agree to the applicant's suitability before an offer of employment is made.

Vetting procedures are laid down by I.S.I (Division of the National Security Inspectorate) in accordance with BS 7858 approval scheme and we therefore are obliged to vet staff from six references back to a minimum of ten years of employment or back to school leaving. All references must be totally acceptable by us before employment is offered. Our guards are vetted according to industry standards.

Only after successfully passing through these initial stages will the candidate be interviewed to determine his/her suitability for the assignment. If accepted, employment will be offered for a strict three-month probationary period.

Training

All security officers undergo Basic Job Training in accordance with S.I.T.O. This training course provides the basic knowledge, which an officer needs in order to carry out his/her duties effectively. This is a mandatory requirement of BS 7499 and is inspected for conformity by the I.S.I. (Division Of The National Security Inspectorate).

Once this basic training has been successfully completed the new recruit works alongside an experienced officer to ensure that they are ready to work alone. A continual programme of training is carried out to improve the standards of security officers including first aid training, fire fighting, specialist security training, and any other training that is deemed necessary to allow the officer to complete his/her duties to the highest possible standards. Guard Conduct

Each officer is expected to act in a professional manner at all times.

• Our officers are trained to be polite and respectful at all times.

• All of Dragon ’s security officers are uniformed and presentable to the public.

• We do not entertain lateness, therefore, Officers who are repeatedly late or do not come in for their shift will face disciplinary action.

We allow our officers to patrol as they see fit, however, any complaints by residents or the client are taken seriously and are dealt with straight away.
